Thursday is Veteran's Day, a day to give thanks and celebrate the men and women who have put their lives on the line to keep our country safe. I love that there are businesses out there that want to give back to veterans. I've compiled a list of the ones I'm aware of here in Indiana.

Get a free entree on Thursday, November 11th from 11 a.m. to midnight. You can order one of the following: 7-oz Sirloin, Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders Platter, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken®, Double Crunch Shrimp or Oriental Chicken Salad. All traditional sides are included, but beverages are not.
Golden Corral is offering free buffet meals, including beverage and dessert, to current military personnel and veterans on Monday, Nov. 16, from 5 to 9 p.m. The event is held on Monday, she says, "so we don't interfere with Veterans Day activities. No military ID is required for its ninth annual Military Appreciation Monday.

Subway Restaurants - Many subway locations offer
a free six inch sub to military veterans
on Veteran’s Day. However, Subway restaurants are franchises, so this offer may only be available in select locations. Please contact your local Subway for more information regarding Veteran’s Day specials.

Home Depot - The Home Depot(R) is offering all active duty personnel, reservists, retired military, veterans and their families a
10 percent discount off their purchases in honor of Veteran’s Day. The offer is valid on purchases of up to $2,000 for a maximum of $200 and is available at The Home Depot stores, The Home Depot Design Center locations, Yardbirds and EXPO Design Center(R) locations. The 10% discount is available everyday for active duty and retirees, but not veterans. Home Depot makes this offer available to all veterans on most military holidays.
Lowes - Lowe’s Companies, Inc. will offer all active, reserve, honorably discharged, retired military personnel and their immediate family members a
10 percent discount on in-store U.S. purchases made during the Veterans Day holiday. The discount is available
Nov. 6 – Nov. 11. The discount is available on in-stock and special order purchases up to $5,000. To qualify, individuals must present a valid military ID or other proof of service. Excluded from the discount are sales via Lowes.com, previous sales, and purchases of services or gift cards. Like Home Depot, Lowes offers this discount daily to active duty military members, but not to veterans. However, they extend the offer to military veterans on military holidays.
